This show of 28 paintings by various FCA artists is at the Surrey Art Gallery, 13750 88th Ave (in Bear Creek Park close to the corner of King Georg Hwy and 88th).

Oct. 5th - Nov 4th, 2006 - "Paths up the Mountain"
Two paintings are part of a juried Federation of Canadian Artist's (Fraser Valley Chapter) juried exhibition at the Act in Maple Ridge (the MR art gallery).  The second painting has not yet been photographed, but will be on this site as soon as possible.  For more information please visit www.theact.ca

Monday, October 23 from 7pm - 9pm - Demonstration - The Human Portrait for members of the Port Moody Art Association.
     

Saturday, August 19th from 10am - 6pm  - "Arts Alive" - Downtown Langley was transformed into a one-day Arts event where hundreds of visual artists, crafters, musicians, and dancers displayed and/or perform their work.  This was a fabulous FREE family event which takes place along Fraser Hwy near 204th St. (and area!) on the third weekend of August every year.  Over 8,000 people attended this year.

May 7 - July 10th, 2006 - "Portrait of a Valley"

February 21 - March 11, 2006 - "The Spontaneity Show"

This free demo was on Sunday, Feb 12th from 2-4pm at Opus in Langley.  Lalita paint over this underpainted portrait in oil.  Over 30 people came to learn valuable tips about values, skin tones, brush work, and blocking in the geometric shapes!  

This is how far Lalita got in approx. 1.25 hrs of painting...
