Thank you to all of you who sponsored Samera and I to be in this walk, and to those of you who donated money and time.  Over 300 people particpated in the walk and celebrations.  One of the highlights was watching a dozen young children from Uganda dance, sing and drum! The walk has raised over $15,000 and there is a wonderful article in the Oct. 24th Langley Advance (you can see it onlline at www.langleyadvance.com). Once again, this walk was organized by a 13-year old Langley resident named Gabrielle Starr in order to raise money to help over 40,000 kids escape being abducted by rebel armies.  Lalita developed this logo, which represents these African children between the ages of 5 and 16 who walk up to 34 kms each day in order to have somewhere safe to sleep at night.    This image was used on all T-shirts, posters, brochures and the like for this event.   More information available online at: www.nighttolightwalk.ca
